In 2020, Huawei AppGallery reported about 384 billion app installs and updates worldwide. About 2.3 million app developers has registered on the app store. Due to the trade war between China and the United States, Huawei can no longer use Google services on its new phones. Only the AppGallery and its own proprietary Huawei Mobile Services (HMS) are installed on Huawei's new devices.
