An index measuring the impact of posts on Weibo within the first 72 hours of posting shows that feeds related to the novelist's death registered 83 out of 100 points. Another trending public figure on Weibo was the Chinese actor Gao Yalin, who was caught in an accusation of 52-year-old actor Gao Yalin, who was faced allegations of domestic abuse and infidelity.
