ESG strategies of sovereign funds and central banks globally 2021
Best in class - otherwise known as positive screening - was the most common environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) strategy among both sovereign funds and central banks worldwide in 2021. The strategy aims to actively comprise an investment portfolio of companies able to meet ESG criteria. This strategy was slightly more common among sovereign funds, among 69 percent, compared to 60 percent of central banks.
