According to a survey conducted by Rakuten Insight in May 2021 in South Korea on Video-on-Demand (VoD) or streaming service subscriptions, roughly 10.1 percent of respondents without an active service subscriptions still used a video streaming service by using a family member's account. 81.4 percent did not watch videos via streaming services if they did not have a subscription.
