According to a survey conducted by Rakuten Insight in May 2021 among South Koreans on what device they used to access Video-on-Demand or video streaming services, roughly 72.51 percent of respondents between 16 and 24 years old stated to use streaming services mostly via smartphones. This was the most common response among all age groups. Overall, younger generations preferred to watch video streaming services via portable devices such as smartphones, laptop and tablets, while the older respondents over 55 years old also liked to use TVs.
