According to a Taiwanese consumer survey conducted by Rakuten Insight in May 2021, 45 percent of respondents aged between 16 and 24 years specified a high subscription fee as the main reason not to pay for subscription video-on-demand (SVOD) among respondents of ages. No interest in the shows on offer were another common reason among those unwilling to subscribe.
