According to a Taiwanese consumer survey conducted by Rakuten Insight in May 2021, about 47 percent of respondents aged between 25 to 34 years specified streaming video content without ads as the second main reason to pay for subscription video-on-demand (SVOD). The survey also found that Netflix was the most popular SVOD platform among respondents in Taiwan.
