According to a Taiwanese consumer survey conducted by Rakuten Insight in May 2021, subscription video-on-demand (SVOD) services were more trendy among young consumers than older ones. Only 38 percent of respondents aged above 55 years were SVOD users. The survey found that Netflix was the most popular SVOD platform among respondents in Taiwan.
