According to a Taiwanese consumer survey conducted by Rakuten Insight in May 2021, about 49 percent of male respondents specified an affordable subscription fee as the second main reason to pay for subscription video-on-demand (SVOD). The survey also found that Netflix was the most popular SVOD platform among respondents in Taiwan.
