According to a Taiwanese consumer survey conducted by Rakuten Insight in May 2021, about 57 percent of male respondents had subscribed to video-on-demand (SVOD) services compared to 51 percent among females. The survey found that Netflix was the most popular SVOD platform among respondents in Taiwan.
