According to a Hong Kong consumer survey conducted by Rakuten Insight in June 2024, 85 percent of surveyed subscription video-on-demand (SVOD) users had no intention to cancel their SVOD accounts in the next three months. According to the same survey, a larger variety of content available than cable and satellite TV was the main reason to pay for SVOD content.
