According to a Chinese consumer survey conducted by Rakuten Insight in May 2021, about 70 percent of respondents who subscribed to multiple subscription video-on-demand (SVOD) platforms stated that the exclusive access to the desired content as the main reason to pay for more than one. The survey also found out that iQiyi and Tencent Video (or WeTV) were the most popular SVOD platforms among respondents in China.
