Leading reasons to pay for SVOD in China 2024
According to a Chinese consumer survey conducted by Rakuten Insight in June 2024, about 46 percent of respondents specified a more abundant and diversified content library on offer as the main reason to pay for subscription video-on-demand (SVOD). The survey also found out that Tencent Video (or WeTV) and iQIYI were the most popular SVOD platforms among respondents in China.
