In a survey during October and November of 2019, close to a quarter of respondents from the Netherlands stated that they would replace meat with plant-based meat alternatives, even if they were made from ingredients derived from genetically modified organisms. The rejection of this notion was strongest among Greek respondents, where 82.5 percent of respondents said that they would not do so.
