During a 2019 survey in multiple European countries, it was found that 73 percent of respondents from Austria were unwilling to replace meat products with edible insects and insect derivates. Respondents from Greece and Slovakia were least likely to be willing to replace meat with insects. The largest positive response was given by consumers from the Netherlands with 17 percent of people responding saying that they would do so.
