In a survey conducted among Hong Kong residents in 2020, around 70 percent of respondents indicated that their participation in online courses has increased during the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic. Another important internet activity that expanded as a result of COVID-19 was online shopping, with an increase of 65 percent.
