In 2019, a survey on herbal product preferences and awareness in Thailand found that the majority of consumers who have used herb-infused products have used products with turmeric as an ingredient. Turmeric is believed to improve the digestive system and also aid skin problems when used externally.

Figures are calculated among respondents who have used herb-infused products which were 1,894 respondents from a total of 2,127 respondents.
The presented list of herbs have been commonly used in pharmaceutical goods and consumer goods types of products such as medicine, supplements, cosmetics, personal care, beverages, and food and seasoning. They also have been used as a raw material by itself.
