Venezuela's oil consumption amounted to 396 thousand barrels per day in 2023, a year-on-year increase of around 27.8 percent. In comparison to 2014, when consumption reached the peak of the decade, this figure registered a drop of more than 51 percent. Likewise, Venezuela's oil production declined continually throughout the past decade.
