Crude oil exports from Venezuela 2000-2023

In 2023, exports of crude oil from Venezuela averaged around 550 thousand barrels per day.  The country's oil exports have been annually decreasing since 2015 as a result of a combination of poor governance and U.S. sanctions following political turmoil. This is also reflected in Venezuela's crude oil production, which dropped by some 75 percent in the same time span.
