In 2023, the Chinese company Douyu Holdings generated almost five billion yuan of revenue from its live streaming business, which accounted for about 87 percent of its annual revenue. The company owns the game-centric live streaming platform Douyu Live. Its live streaming revenue includes sales of virtual gifts during live streaming, advertisement services, and others.
