During the 2021 Chinese New Year holiday, on average, around 46.5 million people in China's first-tier cities accessed the mobile internet each day. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Chinese government urged its citizens to avoid traveling, which led to an increasing number of internet users in higher-tier cities.
