According to a survey on social media influencers conducted by Rakuten Insight in May 2023, approximately 63 percent of female and 50 percent of male respondents in Malaysia stated that they had purchased an item or product because it had been endorsed by an influencer. The same survey found that the majority of the respondents followed at least one influencer on social media.
