The emergence of video streaming platforms, such as Netflix or Amazon Prime, as well as online movie rentals and purchases, has completely revolutionized the way French people consume video content in recent years. From 2012 on, the revenues of the transaction video-on-demand market has been fluctuating in France and has reached one of its lowest value with a total of 245.8 million euros in 2022.
