YouTubers have become consumers' favorite source in shopping advices. According to a consumer survey conducted by Rakuten Insight in May 2023, about 72 percent of respondents from Taiwan who had purchased a product endorsed from an influencer said that they it was a recommendation from a YouTuber.

The question was asked among respondents who had followed at least one influencer on social media and had purchased the items promoted by the influencer.
