According to a consumer survey conducted by Rakuten Insight in May 2023, a majority of respondents from Taiwan who had followed at least one influencer on social media said that they had purchased the products endorsed by the influencer. About 55 percent of such respondents did so because they were convinced by the promotion from the influencer.

The gender share of respondents: 59 percent of female and 41 percent of male.
Only among respondents who followed at least one influencer on social media and had purchased the items promoted by the influencer.
