As of December 2023, Tencent owned a total of 472 apps and reached approximately 1.2 billion app users in China. Alibaba followed with 168 apps and roughly 1.15 billion app users. Baidu's userbase stood at 1.1 billion and the quickly-growing ByteDance reached a user pool of over one billion.
