A survey on Chinese podcast listeners conducted in March 2020 showed that the most popular topic for podcasts among Chinese listeners was entertainment and art, including music, films, TV, literature, and art, with more than 60 percent of the respondents being interested in it. Stories of personal development or individual experience was the second most popular topic for podcasts, followed by social science.
