According to a survey by Rakuten Insight on the usage of dating apps in South Korea in August 2024, around 33 percent of the respondents between 45 and 54 years old stated that they used dating apps primarily for casual hook-ups. Whereas, more than one in three respondents aged 24 to 34 years old stated to use dating apps to meet new people.
