According to a survey by Rakuten Insight on the usage of dating apps in South Korea in August 2024, survey participants were asked why they do not use mobile dating apps. Over 41 percent of both male and female respondents thought that dating apps are too superficial. Additionally, around 36 percent of the female respondents found dating apps unromantic and prefer to meet someone organically.
