According to a survey by Rakuten Insight on the usage of dating apps in South Korea in February 2022, survey participants were asked why they do not use mobile dating apps. Over 45 percent of both male and female respondents thought that dating apps are too superficial. Additionally, around 37 percent of the female respondents found dating apps unromantic and prefer to meet someone organically.
