According to a survey by Rakuten Insight on the usage of dating apps in South Korea in August 2024, survey participants were asked why they do not use mobile dating apps. Around 41 percent of the respondents found it too superficial to use mobile dating apps. The second most chosen reason for not using dating apps, with a response rate of around 32.5 percent, was that it was too time-consuming.
