According to a survey by Rakuten Insight on the usage of dating apps in South Korea in February 2022, around a third of the female respondents and about 43 percent of the male respondents stated that they use dating apps because they are convenient. The second most picked answer from both female and male respondents were that they would be able to meet people they would not have crossed paths with. Overall, only around 21 percent of the surveyed South Koreans used mobile dating apps.
