According to a survey on mobile dating apps conducted by Rakuten Insight in February 2022, Soul overtook Momo to become the most popular dating app in China, with about 66 percent of the Chinese dating app users reporting to have used the app. A majority of app users stated that dating apps enabled them meet people they would otherwise never have crossed paths with.
