According to a survey conducted in February 2023 among South Korean consumers, skincare products were the most commonly-purchased conscious beauty product category at a respondent share of 56 percent. Conscious beauty is associated with choosing products aligning with one's personal values regarding ingredients, sustainability, ethicality, impact, and transparency. In everyday life, this often translates to selecting products with organic ingredients that are cruelty-free and have been made under good working conditions.
