According to a survey conducted by Infocus Mekongthat studied consumer behavior during Tet in Vietnam, 85 percent of respondents under the age of 30 shared that they planned on buying a gift for someone while 86 percent of those over 30 planned to do so as well. Overall, a majority of respondents had intentions to purchase gifts during the cultural celebration.
