According to a global survey on the popularity of Korean fashion in 2021, around 37 percent of respondents in Japan stated that one of the main factors for having negative impressions of Korean fashion was the low quality of the products. Following that, with a response rate of about 21 percent, another negative aspect among the respondents was the political and diplomatic relations between Japan and Korea.
