A survey conducted in 2020 revealed that 16 percent of the respondents who lived on their own in the United Kingdom (UK) always checked the recommended daily amount when buying food, compared to seven percent of respondents who lived with four other people. A share of 35 percent of the respondents from households with five members stated they never looked at the recommended daily amount of the food they were buying.
