YoY growth in monthly sales of event tickets in Japan 2020-2023
The monthly sales of tickets for events such as music concerts in Japan increased by about 42.7 percent in February 2023 compared to the same period in 2019, prior to the COVID-19 pandemic. Event ticket sales suffered throughout the pandemic but recovered during the later half of 2022. Almost no tickets were sold during the months of April to June 2020, marking the worst period of the pandemic for event organizers.
