In the second quarter of 2024, Procter & Gamble (P&G) was the largest advertiser group in Hong Kong and registered a 20 percent year-on-year growth in its ad spending. Among the ten biggest ad spenders, McDonald's recorded the highest budget growth at 110 percent.

According to the source, the advertising spending was calculated based on an assumption of 75% off rate the rate cards given by the media owners. Actual discounts may vary.
Excluded in the calculations were house ads and MTR Urban Lines ad spend in September 2022. For digital ad spending, only display ads were covered and search ads were not included. Social media ad spend referred to the branded content ad spend of Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube.
