In the third quarter of 2022, HSBC Group remained as largest advertiser group in Hong Kong and registered a 17 percent year-on-year growth. Among the ten ad spenders, the electronics manufacturer Samsung recorded the highest budget growth at 38 percent.

Excluded in the calculations were house ads and MTR Urban Lines ad spend in September 2022. For digital ad spending, only display ads were covered and search ads were not included. Social media ad spend referred to the branded content ad spend of Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube.
