Use of farming inputs among cultivated plots in Nigeria 2019, by type
According to data from 2019, household labor was used for almost 99 percent of surveyed cultivated crops. In addition, 73 percent of households hired other people to work on their plots, whereas 34 percent implemented exchange labor. Moreover, herbicides were used in some 35 percent of crops, while inorganic fertilizers were applied in 35 percent of the lands.
