In 2019/2020, asked in a survey whether or not they would be willing to pay extra for free-range or enhanced welfare meat products, roughly 20 percent of the 25 to 34 year old respondents strongly agreed that they would be willing to do so. The share of those 65 years of age and older that agreed strongly came to 17 percent. A larger share of respondents between 55 and 64 years of age agreed overall (strongly and slightly) than respondents from other age groups.
