In 2019/2020, asked in a survey whether or not they would be happy to eat genetically modified products, roughly 11 percent of respondents with a doctorate or a professional equivalent strongly agreed that they would be happy to do so. The share of those who agreed strongly was highest among respondents with no formal schooling or an incomplete education and came to 13 percent. In general a larger share of respondents with a doctorate or a professional equivalent agreed overall (strongly and slightly) than respondents from any other educational level.
