According to a survey conducted by Rakuten Insight, around 58 percent of respondents stated that they increasingly purchased food and groceries online during the COVID-19 pandemic compared to before the pandemic. The same survey found that around 57.4 percent of surveyed purchased more online during the pandemic.

The survey was conducted among 4,057 female and 4,930 male South Koreans.
