In 2019/2020, when asked how much they spend on food and grocery shopping, the most common answer among respondents was that they spend between fifty to just under a hundred British pounds per week. This was true in all income brackets except for the bracket with an income up to 9,499 pounds, where 22 percent stated that they spend 30 to 49.99 pounds, which was four percent more respondents from the income bracket than the share of respondents who said they spend 50 to 99.99 pounds.
