According to a survey on the impact of coronavirus COVID-19 on media usage conducted in February 2020, there was a significant increase in digital media usage among Chinese consumers during the epidemic period. About one-third of respondents stated that they spent most of the time using the Chinese instant messenger WeChat. TV and online video platforms were other media types that captured most of the consumer attention.
