Most Americans did not plan on changing their purchasing behavior towards canned goods as a result of the coronavirus outbreak. Younger consumers, those aged 18 to 29 years (34%) and those aged 30 to 44 years (35%), were more likely to increase their canned goods purchases compared to older cohorts. Consumer over the age of 65 (70%) were the most likely to not change their canned goods purchasing habits.
