Due to the new coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak in the beginning of 2020, more South Korean customers tend to buy products online instead of in physical stores. Online retailer WeMakePrice reported that sales of food and health related items from high-end retailers grew by more than 700 percent in February 2020, compared to the sales in the same period in 2019. High-end retailers include several department stores and outlets, like AK Department Store, Hyundai Department Store, and Lotte Outlet.
