According to a 2019 survey conducted among students and workers in Italy about lunch break preferences, 66 percent of the students interviewed declared that their ideal lunch out should be cheap. On the other hand, this characteristic was considered important by less than half of the employees having lunch at their workplace. Indeed, the most valued aspect by employees was food taste, which was preferred by 59 percent of Italian students. Food quality didn't seem to be particularly appreciated by any of the respondent categories considered.
