According to a survey conducted by Statista among more than 75,000 consumers across 33 markets worldwide, trust was the most important aspect of banking. Customers were overall satisfied with the trustworthiness of their bank, giving roughly 4.2 index points out of five.
The scores are an aggregate of several answers to various statements. The statements were phrased by Statista as follows: "Please rate from 5 - strongly agree to 1 - strongly disagree the following statements:
In general, you can trust [Bank xx]
I have confidence in the financial stability of [Bank xx]
[Bank xx] is competent and delivers on its promises
Needs and benefits of customers are really important to the [Bank xx]
