Chinese singles living in the more developed cities were more likely to turn to online dating. According to a survey about online dating in China in August 2018, about 68.7 percent of the respondents from the first-tier cities had used online dating self-services. At least half of the respondents in the survey aged between 22 and 40 years had online dating experience.
