The marine equipment industry is a branch of the Chinese shipbuilding industry, other important branches of that industry being ship newbuilding, ship repair, ship refitting and ship breaking, and offshore engineering equipment. Total profits of the Chinese shipbuilding industry amounted to 5.3 billion yuan from January to November 2019, with total revenues of 394.77 billion yuan.
